Sightseeing on Nova Scotia's South Shore

  • Hubbards - Summer Festivals June 27th & August 1st with a Ceilidh - Highland dancing and celtic songs - on the wharf beside Rosewood. Fireworks light up the cove!
  • Peggy's Cove - a famous fishing village and lighthouse where you can watch the sunset as you enjoy succulent lobster
  • Lunenburg - a Unesco World Heritage site filled with historic homes, Fisherman's Museum, antiques, shops and home of the famous Bluenose schooner
  • Chester - a summer retreat for many Americans, this lovely town features live theatre, a sailing haven, and historic homes
  • Mahone Bay - the Wooden Boat Festival & unique shops and homes, makes Mahone Bay a favorite place to visit

  • Beaches & Ocean walks - Hubbards beach is minutes away and features a lovely, white sand beach. There are several other beaches in the area where you can swim, walk and relax.
  • Cycling - Quiet coastal roads and the "Rails to Trails" Cycling Path extends for miles through the country. Bikes can be rented nearby.
  • Golfing - Beautiful seaside golf courses at Chester and Lunenburg.
  • Hiking - Excellent hiking by the coast or inland.
  • Kayaking - Nova Scotia is renowned for kayaking with sheltered bays and wildlife.
